Research outputs

Molecular drug design by virtual screening involves structure and ligand-based approaches. In presence of information about the target, structure-based (molecular alignment, pharmacophore modeling, molecular docking and scoring, post-processing filters, protein-ligand interaction fingerprints) virtual screening is preferred otherwise ligand-based (similarity searches, molecular fingerprints, machine learning, QSAR, focused library design, molecular field analysis) screening is approached for drug design. Many of the techniques I used in several projects as mentioned below.

Project1 (non-competitive mGluR5 antagonist for neurological disorder treatment): GOLD,

Glide (Schrödinger package), HipHop (Discover Studio 3.5), RP (Pipeline Pilot 9.0.2),

Similarity (Pipeline Pilot 9.0.2), Homology Model (Modeller).

 Project2 (MPTP blocker for Alzheimer’s disease treatment): Shape-based pharmacophore

(Discovery Studio 3.5), Similarity (Pipeline Pilot 9.0.2), RP (Pipeline Pilot 9.0.2).

 Project3 (Aurora-A inhibitor for cancer treatment): HipHop (CATALYST 4.11), RP (Cerius2),
